Job Description:
Ashland University Dauch College of Business and Economics is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor, Tenure Track; or Lecturer, Non-Tenure Track (Promotable) of Industrial Engineering available August 2026. The candidate will teach undergraduate courses in Industrial Engineering and in at least one of the following areas: Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Manufacturing Management.
The Dauch College of Business and Economics has 20 faculty members in four departments. The College offers 14 undergraduate majors, an MBA degree, and two MS degrees, serving approximately 500 undergraduate and 300 graduate students. The College is housed in a state-of-the-art building completed in 2004. All classrooms are equipped with advanced instructional technology. The College has been dually accredited through AACSB and ACBSP.
The Department of Management is one of four departments within the College. Including the department chair, there are six faculty members in the department. The department includes majors in Business Administration, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Manufacturing Management, and Supply Chain Management, and currently has more than 100 undergraduate majors and 70 minors. MBA specializations in numerous areas are also offered.
The Industrial Engineering program launched in the fall of 2024 and the faculty member would be instrumental in leading and supporting the growth of the program.
Excellence in teaching is required. The candidate also is encouraged to conduct scholarly activities in their area of concentration to maintain AACSB academic status, and to participate in service activities to the University, community, and profession.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold an earned doctorate from an accredited institution in an appropriate field.
Must have recent peer-reviewed publications and/or hold a recent doctorate in order to meet the AACSB qualification status.
Previous teaching experience, including demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a technology-facilitated environment as well as in a traditional classroom setting is a requirement.
Industry experience and ability to teach other courses in the College, including in the areas of Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, and Manufacturing Management is desirable.
