Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.

Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None

Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Minimum Qualifications: At least a master's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is preferred. A minimum of five years of relevant industrial experience is desirable, particularly for upper-division and engineering design instruction.

Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.

Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
